I’m very happy that we have crossed an important milestone in
our Masonic calendar—the Ritual Working Competition I Stage. It is very heartening to think about the good performance,
support and cooperation I got from my Wardens, officers and all brethren who delivered portions. My sincere and heartfelt
appreciation and thanks to all; especially to the Past Masters, who assisted us during the rehearsals.
I need to make special mention of our Jr Deacon Bro Nitin Shroff who
did a superb job, evident from the fact, the candidate of the evening, Bro.Giridhar Bail, was impressed with his work. I am
sure Bro Nitin is getting all set to achieve many more laurels in his Masonic career. Our Chaplain Bro Anthony Cruz, despite
being unwell with high fever a couple of days before the RWC, made it to the event and did a commendable job; inviting a word
of praise from our ARGM W Bro Pratapkaran Paul during the Festive Board.
Last month, I had the privilege of attending the 400th meeting and
Long Term Service Jewel presentation ceremony of Lodge Srinivasa Gopala No.190 during which the rare 60 years LTS Jewel was
presented to W Bro V V Venkatasubramaniam by MW Bro Chief Justice Devinder Gupta, MW the Grand Master and 25 Years LTS Jewel
to W Bro M S Pattabhiraman by R W Bro G K Selvarajan, RW the Regional Grand Master.
Now, looking into the immediate future, I intend to speed up the Passing
and Raising of our recently initiated brethren by holding 1 or 2 emergency meetings. We must also look into the prospect of
having an inter-lodge visitation, maybe even an outstation meeting in Kodaikanal during December. I also request all Master
Masons to attend the Half-Yearly meeting of the RGL of Southern India at Rajahmundhry.
Thank you and happy reading.
W Bro V K Raj Tilak
